opened a London office, initially with 400 sq ft of flexible
office space early in 2003. |
“We chose Friars House for a number of reasons: its location
was a strong selling point for us – we need to be able to get to
and from clients throughout Central London, so the fact that we
can be in the City or the West End in minutes makes a big difference
to the levels of service we are able to offer to our clients. From
Friars House we can choose from either Southwark or Waterloo if
we are travelling by Tube, or be straight onto Blackfriars Bridge
by car. If we need to get to clients further afield we can get
access to the motorway network in minutes, or use Waterloo for
overland rail.
“Of course, as we continue to grow, it's
comforting to know that LBC have offices all over the City, so
if we want to open another office, or to move to another location,
the chances are that we will be able to stay with them.
“Operationally,
moving into Friars House has made a big difference to the way we
work. The fact that we have access to so many support services
enables us to compete with much larger organisations, while keeping
our overheads to a minimum. The degree of flexibility which the
LBC arrangement gives us is particularly useful: if we want to
use a meeting room we know we can book it at short notice and that
we will only pay for the time we use; we also know that if we need
to take more space (or less) we can change our arrangement at short
notice. It's also really useful to know that our overheads are
fixed every month, and that we don't have to budget for any nasty
expenses at the end of our rental period.

other great thing about Friars House is that the staff are so helpful.
It's a really nice atmosphere to work in, and very supportive if
we need help. We couldn't be more pleased.” |
